Mortgage Loan Processor
Tulsa, OK Full-Time On-Site/Hybrid/Remote
Manage and process loan files through closing, working directly with our loan production staff and underwriters.
Job Description
The Role:
We’re looking for an experienced, proactive processor who owns every file from handoff until it’s funded and closed out.
Scissortail runs on an assembly-line, team model. When a loan is ready for underwriting, we hand the file to processing. From there, you drive it: obtaining what’s needed, getting ahead of underwriting, working conditions, and keeping everyone informed until the loan is funded. Speed, accuracy, and maintaining a friendly, helpful experience with all parties involved are paramount on every file.
What you bring:
- 2+ years of mortgage processing, loan assistant, or loan officer experience, with closed loans to show for it
- Strong Conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA experience
- The ability to review a file the way an underwriter would, including self-employed and variable income calculations
- Working knowledge of compliance timing and why that matters
- LOS experience. We use ARIVE. Encompass, LendingPad, or Calyx experience transfers well
- A helpful habit. For example, you pick up the phone and explain why each request is needed and how you are there to make the process as easy as possible, instead of sending a demanding email with no context.
Nice to have:
- Section 184 (Native American) loan experience
- Non-QM, DSCR, or bank-statement loan experience
- Experience preparing and issuing initial disclosures
- Familiarity with GoHighLevel or a similar CRM

Mortgage Loan Originator
Tulsa, OK Full-Time On-Site/Hybrid/Remote
Originate and structure home loans from application to approval, working directly with borrowers, referral partners, and our processing team.
Job Description
The Role:
We’re looking for a relationship-driven loan officer who creates opportunities and turns them into closed loans.
Scissortail runs on an assembly-line, team model. Your time goes to the work that brings loans in the door: building referral relationships, meeting with borrowers, and earning their trust. Once a borrower is ready to move forward, our loan specialists and processing team carry the file through closing, and you stay in touch with your clients and partners along the way. As an independent brokerage, we shop multiple wholesale lenders to find the right fit for each borrower.
What you bring:
- 2+ years of mortgage origination experience, with closed loans to show for it
- An active NMLS license, or the ability to become licensed in Oklahoma quickly
- An existing network of real estate agents, builders, past clients, or other referral sources
- Working knowledge of Conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA guidelines
- The ability to explain loan options clearly and help borrowers choose what fits their goals
- Fast follow-up. You respond to new leads quickly and keep every conversation moving

- Wholesale or brokerage experience
- Section 184 (Native American) loan experience
